Week 29 Review: A Girl's Guide to Vampires

From Goodreads:
All Joy Randall wants is a little old-fashioned romance, but when she participates in a "Goddess evoking" ceremony with her friend, Roxy, Joy finds out her future true love is a man with the potential to put her immortal soul in danger. At first the ever-practical Joy is ready to dismiss her vision as a product of too much gin and too many vampire romances, but while traveling through the Czech Republic with Roxy, Joy begins to have some second thoughts about her mystery lover because she is suddenly plagued by visions of a lethally handsome stranger. Then, when she and Roxy attend a local GothFaire, Joy meets Raphael Griffin St. John, head of security, and she becomes even more bewildered because the dark and dangerous Raphael seems too close to her dreams for comfort.

My Review:
This book was so fantastic to read! It was a lot of fun, lots of humour, and the world was so interesting to be in! I can't wait to read more, because this was the start of a really fantastic series! I'm so excited!

The world was so fantastic! As there's a series in this book about the Dark Ones, we were introduced to this world through that, though the beginning had a supernatural angle with the Goddess evoking thing, too! But it was interesting to get the world building through a book series inside the book, because the series is true!

These characters were really fantastic! While Roxy believes in the Dark Ones, Joy is more torn, though she almost things that Raphael could be one of them. What with the GothFaire and everything else, there was a lot going on!

I totally didn't expect things to go in that direction! That was unexpected, and all the red herrings before became known along with the truth! It was a bit of a heart-pounding moment, but I really enjoyed how everything worked out!

This book was so fantastic and different, and I enjoyed it so much!
